Muth's Bourbon Barrels (Old Fashioned Bourbon Balls)

These Muth's Bourbon Barrels (Old Fashion Bourbon Ball) are a Kentucky original and truly extraordinary confections. We use 100 proof Very Old Barton bourbon giving them a sophisticated flavor and a unique texture (soft but not a cream). We enhance the flavor further by hand dipping them in our rich semi-sweet dark chocolate.

What makes this an old fashioned bourbon ball is that it has a dough like consistency as opposed to a cream center. We put pecan pieces inside the candy instead of laying it on top of the candy once it is dipped. We typically only dip our bourbons in dark as they are already very sweet.
